Gelindo dei Magredi is much more than a farm. It is a living agricultural ecosystem where tradition, sustainability and innovation work together every day.
Our mission is to preserve and pass on the authentic values of rural life while promoting responsible farming that respects nature, animals and future generations. Every activity is part of the same cycle: livestock farming, crop cultivation, biodiversity conservation, hospitality and food production are connected through a circular approach that minimizes waste and enhances natural resources.
Our farm raises beef cattle, horses, sheep, goats, rabbits and free-range laying hens for egg production. Livestock manure is transformed into natural fertilizer, returning valuable nutrients to the soil and supporting a sustainable farming cycle.
Today, around 50 horses live at Gelindo dei Magredi, including our own horses and those entrusted to us in our boarding facilities. Animal welfare, spacious paddocks and respect for each animal's natural behaviour are at the heart of our equestrian philosophy.
Biodiversity plays a central role in our work. We protect pollinators through beekeeping, preserve natural habitats and cultivate the land in harmony with the unique environment of the Magredi.
We also grow fruit and vegetables that are processed directly on the farm into jams, vegetable creams, fruit juices and traditional preserves, ensuring quality, traceability and respect for seasonal production.
Hospitality is another essential part of our identity. Our agritourism offers guest rooms and an agricampsite, welcoming visitors who wish to experience authentic rural life while discovering the landscape, traditions and flavours of Friuli Venezia Giulia.
For us, agriculture is not only about producing food. It is about caring for the land, protecting biodiversity, respecting animal welfare, preserving rural traditions and sharing this heritage with everyone who visits our farm.
