Gelindo dei Magredi is a family-run country resort set in Vivaro, within the Magredi Nature Park, a wide protected grassland shaped by the rivers Cellina, Meduna and Colvera, at the foothills of the Friuli Dolomites.
Founded in 1970 by the Trevisanutto family as a sustainable farming project, Gelindo has grown into a place where farming, hospitality and education naturally blend, guided by respect for the land, the seasons and traditional knowledge.
Today, Gelindo dei Magredi offers:
a working farm producing both certified organic and non-certified products, used in the kitchen and available to taste and discover
two restaurants: the farmhouse restaurant and Lataria dei Magredi, housed in the former village dairy and carefully restored
rural accommodation with comfortable rooms, designed for rest and simplicity
the Casa a Botte – Botte dei Benandanti, an intimate wooden retreat for couples and special moments, overlooking the surrounding landscape

Shady pastures, vegetable gardens and orchards, vineyards and a wine cellar, a small museum of peasant life, and well-kept stables with outdoor and covered riding arenas all come together to shape a living rural landscape, rich in stories and daily rhythms.
The farm unfolds across 15 hectares of cultivated land: cereals and fodder fields, vineyards, organic and traditional orchards, and vegetables grown both in open fields and greenhouses. Particular care is devoted to fruit and vegetables, which are largely transformed into jams and preserves, carrying the flavours of the seasons beyond the farm.
The estate is also home to heifers, pigs, poultry, horses and donkeys, raised with respect for natural cycles and animal well-being.
Farm production follows a simple and transparent cycle:
cereals and fodder feed the animals
livestock is raised mainly for use in the farm’s kitchens
grapes are transformed into wine in the cellar
fruit and vegetables are sold directly at the farm shop and, to a large extent, turned into jams and preserves in the authorised laboratory
A visit to the farm can become a hands-on experience. Guests may harvest fruit and vegetables to take home (in agreed quantities) or transform them into a personalised jam or preserve, complete with a custom label a small, delicious memory to bring back with them.
All this makes Gelindo dei Magredi an ideal country resort for both short stays and longer holidays devoted to living well, guided by simplicity, taste and connection with nature.
Care for the environment is part of the very identity of Gelindo dei Magredi. Part of the farm’s production is already certified organic, while other crops and raw materials are currently in conversion. The estate is equipped with sustainable systems aimed at reducing its environmental footprint and increasing energy self-sufficiency, with electric car charging stations soon to be available.
