Lataria dei Magredi

It rises where there was the historic Vivaro dairy. The building has been completely renovated and adapted to accommodate a characteristic farmhouse restaurant and 10 elegant and bright accommodations, in pure country style, equipped with every comfort.

It is an imposing building in square stones where the exceptional Vivaro, the father of Montasio, was produced, has now been transformed into the welcoming Lataria dei Magredi farmhouse, a temple of the typical cuisine of the area.

The dining area consists of 3 rooms, while outside you are welcomed in a Mediterranean garden shaded by olive and fig trees.

The restaurant suggests a simple and genuine cuisine based on fruit, vegetables and meats from the family farm, a characteristic for which the Michelin Guide has welcomed the restaurant in its choices.

The dishes are prepared in the very modern kitchen-laboratory following preparations taken from ancient Friulian recipe books, but revisited in a modern way: low fat and careful processing to preserve all the flavors of tradition.

The formulation of the dishes favors typical Friulian products and provides, for the most part, the use of seasonal products, grown or reared directly on the family farm: no stereotyped and anonymous international dishes, but tasty cured meats, fragrant cheeses, fragrant soups, poultry from the court, vegetables from the garden and genuine homemade sweets.

The accommodations are divided into:
1 double room for single use (as needed, standard double)
7 Family Comfort rooms (triple or quadruple)
2 apartments with kitchenette and living room that can accommodate up to 5 and 6 people respectively

Room facilities: air conditioning, heating, wardrobe / closet, private bathroom with toilet, bidet, shower, hairdryer, complimentary toiletries, flat screen TV and free wi-fi.
